"What are you doing?" Kathy, a tall, dark haired young woman shouted, as she ran over to the tall short- haired man.
"Back off!" He shouted back to her.
"No! I can't! Why are you killing them?" Kathy grabbed his arm and tried to pull him back. The small metal cage in front of them shook.
"Ha! Why? Because, they killed my family. So, I'll kill theirs." Craig broke free of her grip and grabbed her by the shoulders.
"Great logic you have there." Kathy tried talking him out of his horrible plan.
"Fuck logic! Fuck you! And fuck these- these creatures!" He pushed her away and watched her fall to the floor. Her long white overcoat swept along the floor behind her. Craig returned to the cage and dangled it over the edge of the building.
"Craig! Stop it, now!" Kathy got up and ran for him again. The sound of police sirens began to get closer. The cold wind whipped her hair around her head; her black pumps made clicking sounds as she ran.
Craig turned around and swung his closed hand and struck Kathy in the jaw. She became disoriented and grabbed her broken jawbone. Blood began to pour from her mouth and the open wound. Long, crystal tears began to flow from her eyes, and she lost her balance. Her eyes searched around wildly for someone to help her, but no one would come. Her knees buckled and she fell backwards over the small ledge. Her body was thrown down off of the building. She never hit the ground because a police car broke her fall. Her thick warm blood was escaping her body from hundreds of cuts and gashes. She was dying. The last thing she saw before her eyes closed forever was the tiny cage plummet to the ground, smashing into pieces.
A single drop of crimson blood ran from her closed eye as she died.
